Since announcing the new strategy at the start of 2017 we have been active on all fronts to improve the business. In 2018 we started to work on a future proof ESG programme. Everyone at NSI has been involved in establishing the ESG programme. We have considered the UN Sustainable Development Goals and have engaged with external stakeholders to come up with what we believe is a well-rounded programme.

NSI aims to create healthy, inspiring and flexible working environments for its tenants and promotes a healthy way of working for its employees. Moreover, we aim to have a positive impact on the community. The NSI employee gender breakdown was 33% female (2017: 39%) and 67% male (2017: 61%). The breakdown on the Management Board was 33% female to 67% male (identical to 2017), while there was an equal 50-50 split on the Supervisory Board (2017: 40% female and 60% male).

NSI N.V. has achieved a five-star rating in the annual GRESB Real Estate Assessment. This is the highest GRESB rating possible and recognition for being an industry leader.

The result of 88 points (out of 100) is NSI’s best score so far and a significant improvement on last year’s score of 71 points and an initial score of 49 points in 2018. The improvement highlights the journey NSI has been on the past few years.
